Hi, Carolanne I just wanted to acknowledge y/our kinship in this. I appreciate your actions and I have also left gas stations for that reason. I would do it more but for the effort and time spent going to another station, with perhaps iffy improvement. I hope you and E are doing okay.....with love, J*
This ↑. Agree 100%. I've actually written to companies and left poor reviews about the whole beeping issue with their products, Vornano fans are one example. Give me a turn knob any day! I purposely scoured used cars to find a relatively low-tech 2010 Honda Fit. It only beeps when I leave the headlights on and open the car door (which is useful) or don't buckle up in time. We have garbage collection at 4 AM with dumpsters for some nearby businesses — it's the worst and should be outlawed. I also use a manual push mower (no gas or electricity) for our lawn (which I'm gradually transforming into a wildflower meadow). No pollution or loud noise and it's a great workout. I can't stand gas-powered weed whackers either. :-)
I applaud all of what you share. I asked my mechanic last week if he could disconnect the beeping sound that goes off three times when I remvoe the key from the ignition; what prupose does that serve?! He said it's not possible. 4 AM trash trucks is an abomination! And the Vornado fan LOL....chuck it!! Hugs.....

I've left gas stations with those tv screens that play commercials and loud music as soon as I see them and never return — super obnoxious!
